Someone posted online that religious leaders are hiding a huge secret: that you're secretly a god, and the universe is a kind of hologram, and you're the "still point" holding it together. They backed this up with:

A computer program with real, correct math in it (using things called quaternions, which are a real type of number system used in video games and robotics).

A bunch of number coincidences (your spine has 33 bones, a secret Freemason rank is 33, Jesus died at 33, a flag has 33 sections).

A claim that the pope's hat came from ancient fish-costume priests in Iraq, and that Rome stole it to block your "crown chakra."

Here's the problem with each piece.

The math is real, but it doesn't prove the big claim. Running a math program and watching numbers settle into a pattern is normal. It happens because of how the equation was built, the same way a bowling ball settles at the bottom of a bowl because that's just what bowls do to balls. It's not a miracle discovery about souls. The people who wrote the math paper even say so themselves, in writing: their program works with pretend numbers on a computer, not with real matter, and any talk about consciousness is just a label they made up, not something they proved.

The number coincidences don't prove anything either. If you go looking hard enough, you can always find two unrelated things that share a number. There are only so many small numbers, and there are millions of things in the world to count. Finding "33" in four random places doesn't mean those four things are secretly connected. It means 33 is a number, and people love it for their own separate reasons (Freemasons picked it for their own historical reasons, your spine has 33 bones for basic biology reasons).

The pope's hat story isn't backed up. Yes, there really were ancient priests in Mesopotamia who wore fish-skin costumes. That part is true, you can see the actual statues in real museums. But there's also a well-documented, boring explanation for the pope's hat: it grew out of a different Roman head covering, over hundreds of years, with actual written records from the year 1049 tracking how it changed shape. Looking similar to something from 2,500 years earlier and a different country doesn't mean one caused the other. That's like saying your baseball cap must be Egyptian because pharaohs also wore hats.

Even the Bible verse they quoted doesn't say what they claim. They quoted a Bible verse about a "crown" and said it's really about escaping a secret hologram. But if you read the whole passage, it's just about a bad king losing his throne. Nothing about holograms.

So what's really going on? Someone took real math, mixed it with cherry-picked number coincidences and misread ancient texts, and used the "this is backed by science and scripture" feeling to sell an idea that you are secretly divine and the world is hiding it from you. The math is the costume. The actual claim underneath has no real evidence holding it up.
