I was struggling with alcohol when I became addicted to crystal meth. The drug chamged me in so many ways. I hadn't written poems for a few years and a detox staff member suggested I try writing again, and this is the poem I wrote that day. It was painful to write, but helped me take some of my power back. Hoping it will help someone either by realizing you can take your power back, or by preventing someone from ever touching this highly addictive, dangerous drug in the first place.
