Albany, N.Y. — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced that more than $761 million in economic and community development funding has been awarded through the ninth round of his Regional Economic Development Council initiative — known to some critics as Cuomo’s Hunger Games, due to the fact that ten New York regions compete for billions in state funding through a process that lacks transparency and accountability.
