Those who know me, know that I have had my share of getting knocked down. Life has been like a boxing match and going rounds with Rocky Balboa. I get up and I go down, get back up, and life knocks me on my rear again. Through fighting depression, loss of businesses, the death of loved ones and so, so much more that at times I just wanted to stay down for the count.

When life knocks you down enough times you start to ask, where is God?... It took some time for me to understand that God never leaves me, He is always there preparing me for the next round. Like a trainer in the boxer's corner, he can't take the hits for the fighter, but he has trained him to defend himself from them and strengthen him to get back up after a knockdown.

One of my favorite movie scenes is from Rock V. Tommy Gunn has knocked Rocky to the ground in an ally fight. Laying on the concrete Rocky starts to have flashbacks and one of the flashbacks is the words of Mickey yelling "Get up you bum...I didn't hear no bell". With those words Rocky is on his feet and with Tommy Gunns back to him thinking the battle is won, Rocky yells out "Hey Tommy....I didn't hear no bell...One more round".

One More Round...Those words resonate...Those words should be our battle cry. Every time the enemy comes at you, every time that life knocks you on your rear, every time you feel like throwing in the towel, get yourself back up and remember that you didn't hear any bell, and there is "ONE..MORE..ROUND" left in you.

If you have been knocked down, or are waiting your turn because at some time we all will go down, then you understand that it's not about how many times you hit the mat, but how many times you rise back up, how many times you remind yourself that there is "One More Round".

Words to remember - There is always purpose in life’s struggles. Without them...we stay the same.
