The abuses of our government agencies, and the heavy costs to the tax payers.
The Abuses and Costs of Them.
As we all know, ICE is the biggest p.i.t.a. in society, today. So much that even 'nobody writers', like myself, have to weigh in on it. In this segment, I'm not just going to be talking about the abuses that the government agencies, like ICE, DHS and such are doing, but the costs that go along with it.
The accusations, crimes, and penalties:
In 2018, migrant children were being slipped through the cracks of the border wall with amnesty requested upon them, as permitted by law. Under the command of President Obama, and later Trump, these migrants were to be placed in a holding facility through a company that specializes in this, known as The Southwest Key Program.
One of the abuses; physical aggressions: The program was said to have started in 1987 and held the responsibilities in handling migrant children. If they held a good tenor in such care for the minors, an ugly truth was revealed in 2018, when the buildings surveillance cameras recorded Southwest Key employees dragging migrant kids from one room to another, even slapping the migrant minors, and shoving some against a wall.
Another form of abuse; on the money: $3Bill in contracts from 2015 to 2023. Although on paper, Southwest Key was a charity, yet it still collected $1.7Bill+ in a decades time. The chief of the program, Juan Sanchez, paid himself $1.5Mill per year. Along with, unsure if the company group or a few individuals in the program, has lent out millions of dollars to real estate developers.
The penalties: At the time of this article, it's now February of 2026, and there have been zero people sentenced for the physical aggressions of those minors, including zero sentences for the people of Southwest Key for the inappropriate usages of the tax paying dollars, given to them by the government.
Money abuse; conflict of interest: 2019-2024. Catholic Community Services, which manages Casa Alitas (migrant shelter), that uses a "pass-through" federal funding ($77 million, total).
This conflict of interest was done by Diego Pina Lopez, the Casa Alitas Director, who's spent years with laundry business, Amado Laundry Services owned by his mother, Irene A.G. Pina, who charged Casa Alitas up to $412,000. Again, for laundry services.
By the time of this article, it's now February of 2026. No punishments have occurred, other than a shutdown in Pima Co, Tucson, AZ, where the conflict of interest existed. But not eve any kind of fines or fees where placed on the Casa Alitas program.
One more. The harm in doing nothing: In 7/22, was a news broadcasting of a Kenedy Co resident making claims of a dire need for stimulus checks, for services in handling "The Migrant Invasion", after receiving a $700K check from the state, the year before. A Maverick Co attorney made the same claim, and was requesting another one.
These testimonies stated, there were a lot of dead migrant bodies due to "the invasion", caused by dehydration in drought, and sometimes, death by flooding when hit by a storm, and it became overwhelmingly too expensive to perform body recovery tasks. Given that this is Texas, it's believable.
Here's the sketchy part of it all. The only type of body recovery these counties were doing was body collections, and body stacking in freezers, that's it. There were no autopsies or investigations to see if weather had anything to do with their deaths, zero chances of knowing anything about the traffickers or path(s) taken to see how they got this far. Neither of the counties are making any effort to do anything concerning this situation. Nor surrounding counties, such as Kinney Co. and Del Rio.
At the time of this article, it's now February of 2026. These counties have moved on to selling land to real estate companies. Nothing reportedly, has been done for the deceased and the only thing we can imagined happened is the migrant corpses have been simply thrown away.
More to come. Thank you for your time.
