I'm a woman with endometriosis, the diagnosis took over 7 years and it's not at all an exception. Most women face 10s of years without ever gaining a diagnosis because of the ignorance of our health care system. Whether it be a doctor that doesn't believe how young or old people could ever have chronic illnesses such as these, or the fact that women's health is not researched enough to provide answers to the symptoms and causes. We need to talk about women's healthcare and why it's so very important that we acknowledge our societies lack of funding for necessary research.
