THE "ACCIDENT" (PRO CHOICE OP-ED ARTICLE)
It was an unfortunate incident that happened on that day only a few short weeks ago. She had blamed herself though in retrospect she had done nothing wrong. She was young, very young, younger than you could imagine. But it didn't matter the world payed her no care at all. She was utterly hopelessly lost in this world stuffed to the brim with people who only either cared about themselves or about business that were none of their concern and furthermore had no rights in. Random people that didn't have any knowledge in her situation but somehow still squeezed their way through the crevice and leached on to her body like a blood sucking parasite. Their only goal... to take hold of her body. It was because of those people that she suffered. She had had an incredibly tough life. She was abandoned at birth by both her parents. She had been a mistake. She was quickly put up for adoption because she was so young and thankfully was just as quickly adopted. But just to her luck she didn’t end up so lucky. Her new family loved her; Even with the few memories she had that she knew. But yet a year after they were killed in a dreadfully deadly four-way pile up on the way to pick her up from preschool. she was again promptly after scooped up by the all mighty Social Services and delivered to foster care where she lived out her early childhood days being neglected and abused in every way possible. No matter how many times she was shipped off to a new temporary family it was the same. Never known; Never loved; Never seen; Never heard. Until one day it happened. She was brought upon a brand new foster family after her last one decided she simply was not a right fit for them anymore. Her new family seemed pleasant at first till she was alone with him one night. She was a fool thinking she had finally found someone who cared. She should of known better. He had blamed it on her. Said it was an accident. It wasn't fair. Her life wasn't fair. It wasn’t her fault. She had done nothing wrong. But still she must of pissed off fate in a past life because it still had happened. And worst of all no one cared. They said she didn’t know what she was saying; Said it was a bad dream; Children have big imaginations …But it did. She did know what she was saying; It wasn’t just a bad dream. And no it wasn't her fruitful imagination that schemed this horrific story up no matter how much she wished that was true. She knew what consequences the "accident” would entail. Despite her youthful appearance she was a bright kid who had always payed attention in school. She knew what it would bring and not to her surprise she soon became right. She knew that creature if you could call it that yet would only bring pain and trauma. She knew that it would be neglected or abused like her if it spread it's eyes apart and set out into the world. The world that eats its own would devour it up like the first real meal a patient is given after waking up from a coma. She didn’t want it to go through what she went through. But she just couldn’t abandon it like she had been. For despite the short time they had spent with each other, she loved it more than life itself. It was the only thing she had; And she the only thing it had. She didn’t know what to do. she was lost. She was suffering. But she was not innocent anymore, she knew what she had to do. She didn’t have a choice just like they didn’t give her one. She wished it one last final grief stricken goodbye and with that did it. She fell to her knees in agony as the kitchen knife pierced her abdomen…Now they are no longer.
