water of pain stains my pillow

sounds of brokenness hug me

The rain beating against the window matched the sound of my weary heart

Fear of loneliness keeps my head going

deep and painful memories surrounded by wired fence

I look around and I'm alone

If I picked up the ringing words I'd have to face a demon I'm not ready to

Time doesn't stop it , it only goes faster and life is not a phone call. I can't put it on hold

the water stains begin to dry up

The sounds of brokenness release their grip

I look around

The rain has stopped

My heart has softened

I rewire the fences
