Marie and Jake were the classic high school sweethearts. After meeting in ninth grade with lockers a mere few feet apart, their friendship blossomed into love; one that was both innocent yet deep-seated. They were inseparable throughout their high school careers - attending proms together, cheering at football games together and sharing dreams together under a starlit sky. After high school graduation, both attended the same university where they supported one another through its trials and tribulations. Jake and Marie's relationship deepened over time, becoming each other's rock and a haven. After graduation, Jake proposed to Marie under the same starlit sky where they first shared their dreams - Marie accepted with tears in her eyes! Their wedding was an exquisite ceremony, filled with laughter, tears, and an immense display of love. As they exchanged vows pledging their commitment to each other through sickness and health, their guests felt their palpable bond instantly. They were more than spouses - they were best friends, partners, soulmates.

Now just months into their marriage, Marie was expecting to welcome her first baby - however, what lay ahead wasn't exactly as planned. Jake, her loving husband, was hiding a devastating secret that would transform their lives irrevocably - yet for now Marie and Jake remained blissfully unaware of any impending storm that lay just below the surface. Jake was a brilliant scientist working for a government research facility. Although his work was classified, and often involved long hours at the lab, Jake deeply loved Marie and wanted her to have everything possible in life.

So, when he discovered Marie was pregnant, he was overjoyed! Jake saw an opportunity, an opportunity that could advance his research and potentially transform the world. Jake had been working on a human cloning project and believed he could create one using stem cell DNA. Jake decided to use Marie's stem cells for his experiment when she

became pregnant, injecting her with DNA from her own stem cell genome and creating a clone of herself.

Jake kept this information from Marie who thought they had conceived naturally. Her pregnancy brought immense joy and anticipation. She was overjoyed at becoming a mother and eagerly expected the day she would hold her child in her arms. Unfortunately, during her pregnancy Marie noticed some odd symptoms which she ignored at first as normal pregnancy changes - only later discover they may be something else entirely.

One day Marie came across some research papers from Jake which gave some clues. Marie read of Jake's cloning experiment and began piecing together what had happened. When confronted by Jake about it, Marie demanded to know the truth - something which took Jake by surprise; he had hoped to tell Marie himself but now had no choice but to reveal everything to Marie at once: about his experiment and its results: the creation of the clone.

Jake told Marie all, and Marie was shocked. Her trust had been broken as she couldn't believe Jake, the man she loved so dearly, would do something like this to her and their child - not knowing that Marie was carrying a clone instead! This revelation sent shockwaves through her. Marie struggled to accept the truth in the days that followed, feeling anger, betrayal, and confusion despite Jake's attempts at apology and reparations. After giving it much consideration, she made her choice: to break off their engagement.

She decided to keep the baby, the clone. Despite its circumstances, she found comfort in loving this life that had grown inside of her. She decided to confront Jake and the government and fight for both their rights as well as her unborn child's. Marie and Jake faced many difficulties, but in the end found a way forward. They decided to raise the clone as their own and give her all the love and care that was so desperately needed by both parties involved. Through all that had happened between them, Marie and Jake found strength in each other to move forward together - their love still being unshaken through all that had come their way.
