Why Do Gaming Photography?

I don't know what I expected when I began doing Gaming Photography. Taking the time to capture a photo of a game seems ridiculous when I am supposed to be playing the game. But many games have unique settings, scenery, and moments that are out of this world. A Video Game is an experience to explore a setting that is not the norm for many and offers a chance to be in a profession or area that aren't often seen and a moment for the player to simulate what it might be like to be in that moment.
I mean, explore other planets(Hell Divers 2), check out an island that is 'eternal' (New World: Aeternum), dig under the earth to see what treasures are inside (Terraria), it's all settings and experiences an individual normally wouldn't experience in their life.
To capture those extraordinary moments with others is a core element, to me, of Gaming Photography. A chance to view what other virtual experiences have to offer.
