Dragon Breath Prologue
Prologue
The forestlands were flourishing with new life. Jackrabbits and fire-scale lizards ran to flee from predators, only to get killed by a random wolf in the bushes. The bright sun lit up the dark forest, shining on every leaf and stone. A sunset colored dragon stepped out of a mossy cave, shaking her colorful scales. A different dragon, this time white and blue, crawled out as well.
“Should we take out the kids, or let them sleep?”
“Take ‘em out. They need to learn how to become proper gods.”
“K Sunset, I’ll take Puremoon for the day.” He walked back into the cave to grab his daughter.
Sunset took Bloodmoon to teach him how to correctly be the god of the underworld. How to kill, burn trees, make angels into demons, and how to protect others and himself from angels.
“Mum, why are we doing this? I don’t wanna be a god, seems boring.” the young god asked.
Sunset did not answer, instead walking to grab the training dummy. She set it back up, patting out the flames and tying it back to the stick. “Do it again. This time, treat it like you would a jackrabbit on a roast.”
Fire shot out of Bloodmoon’s mouth, the red flames burned the dummy to a crisp in an instant. It fell onto the slightly burnt grass, ash flying off of the charred cloth.
“Perfect, keep doing that and we’ll move on to purification.” Sunset said as she walked over to grab the dummy. “Come with me. We’ll use birds now”
Smoke poured out of Bloodmoon’s mouth, “Can we take a break? The roof of my mouth is in flames.”
“C’mon, it can’t be that bad, we only been training for an hour. Now, let's go.” She walked to an opening in the woods, stopping to look back at her son.
“This is why I like training with Father.” Bloodmoon grumbled, running to his mother, ready to battle real opponents.
