Life Through My Lens
Life Through My Lens
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been writing.
It started when I was a child learning the alphabet and discovering that those little shapes we call letters could turn into stories. Before long, I was filling pages with poems, ideas, and reflections about the world around me.
Very quickly, writing became something that felt natural to me—almost like breathing.
I was born legally blind, which means I’ve always experienced the world a little differently. While I may not see the world the way most people do, I’ve spent a lifetime paying close attention to things that are often easy to overlook: conversations, emotions, relationships, and the small moments that quietly shape our lives.
Those moments are where most of my writing begins.
Over the years, life has given me plenty to write about. Nearly five decades of experiences—some joyful, some difficult, and many that simply taught me something I didn’t know before. The people we meet, the places we go, and the lessons we learn along the way all become part of the stories we carry with us.
That’s what this space is about.
Life Through My Lens: Reflections of the Journey is where I’ll share essays, stories, and reflections about life, relationships, growth, and the perspectives we gain through experience.
My hope is simple: that something you read here makes you pause for a moment, reflect on your own journey, or perhaps see life from a slightly different point of view.
Because sometimes the most meaningful lessons in life come from the moments on which we take the time to reflect.
If you enjoy thoughtful storytelling about life and the lessons it teaches us, I hope you’ll follow along.
After all, every journey has stories worth telling.
