The sun cast its warm glow over Goiky, its golden rays reflecting off the calm waters of the lake. A sense of peace hung in the air, a rare luxury for the contestants who had spent years embroiled in endless competition. For the first time in what felt like forever, there were no challenges, no eliminations—just quiet.

Leafy sat beneath the shade of a massive tree, sketching in her notebook. She glanced up from her work occasionally, gazing at the silhouette of Dream Island on the horizon. To her, it was more than a prize—it was a symbol of everything they’d been through together.

“Still journaling, huh?” Firey’s voice broke the silence. He walked over, his flames flickering softly.

Leafy smiled. “It helps me think. We’ve been through so much, and I don’t want to forget any of it.”

“Fair point,” Firey said, sitting down beside her. “But maybe it’s time to look forward instead of back. Who knows what’s coming next?”

Before Leafy could respond, the ground beneath them trembled. A low rumble echoed through the air, sending ripples across the lake. Firey and Leafy jumped to their feet as the trees swayed violently, their leaves scattering like confetti.

“What’s going on?!” Leafy shouted, clutching her notebook.

Nearby, the other contestants began to gather at the lake’s edge, their faces painted with confusion and concern.

“Is this another one of those weird competitions?” Pin asked, her eyes darting around nervously.

“I dunno, but I don’t like it,” said Woody, trembling so hard he almost fell over.

Before anyone could offer an explanation, the sky itself cracked open. A thin, glowing fissure appeared, spreading like lightning across the heavens. The air grew heavy and electric as the crack widened, revealing a swirling vortex of colors—blue, gold, purple, and black—pulling light and sound into its endless depths.

The contestants stepped back instinctively, but their retreat was interrupted as a figure emerged from the vortex. Tall and ethereal, the being seemed to be made of liquid shadow, its form constantly shifting. Glowing white eyes pierced through the darkness of its body, scanning the group with an unnerving calm.

“Greetings, contestants of Dream Island,” the figure said, its voice resonating as if coming from all directions at once. “I am Nexus, the Keeper of Realms. Your games have caught my attention. Now, you shall embark on a challenge unlike any you’ve faced before.”

“What challenge?” Golf Ball asked, stepping forward with her usual determination.

“A challenge that transcends mere competition,” Nexus replied. “You will enter the Lost Realm, a dimension where your greatest fears, strengths, and secrets will be tested. This is no game for an island. This is a journey of survival, discovery, and truth.”

The group fell silent, exchanging nervous glances.

“Why should we trust you?” demanded Blocky, crossing his arms.

“Trust is irrelevant,” Nexus said coldly. “You have no choice. The Lost Realm calls to you, and your time in this world is over.”

Without warning, Nexus raised its hand. A blinding light erupted from the vortex, engulfing the contestants. They cried out, their voices lost in the roar of the swirling energy.

When the light faded, they found themselves in a strange and unfamiliar world. The sky above them was a chaotic swirl of purple and gold, and the ground beneath their feet shimmered like crystal. Towering structures loomed in the distance, their shapes unnatural and ever-shifting.

“What… what is this place?” Firey whispered, his flames dimming slightly.

“This is the Lost Realm,” Nexus’s voice echoed around them. “Here, you will face trials that will test every aspect of who you are. To succeed, you must confront your fears, embrace your strengths, and uncover your truths. Only the worthy will survive.”

“Survive?!” Bubble cried, bouncing nervously. “What happens if we don’t survive?!”

But Nexus did not answer. Its shadowy form vanished, leaving the contestants alone in the strange, shimmering world.

“What do we do now?” Leafy asked, clutching her notebook tightly.

“I guess we start walking,” said Gelatin, looking toward the towering structures in the distance. “There’s gotta be something out there, right?”

As the group hesitantly began to move, the ground beneath them shimmered faintly, almost as if it were alive. The Lost Realm seemed to watch them, waiting for its chance to strike.
