Welcome, fellow travelers! Kvetha Fricaya! Atra esterní ono thelduin!

For those who discover this stream, I thank you for your interest and curiosity as we set to begin this incredible journey through one of my favorite fantasy worlds. As much as I love these works of literature, it is also my passion and dream to share it with as many people as are willing to give it a try. And that is what I intend to do here.

Where to even begin... I first encountered the fantasy series at age 15 when my mother bought me a paperback copy of "Eragon", the first book in the Inheritance Cycle (as the original series is called). She told me that a new and young author named Christopher Paolini had first written the novel when he was my age, and that she had heard it was a really well-written novel. She also said that there was apparently going to be a movie version of the novel to come out soon, and so I was excited and grateful. As I have been an avid and passionate reader all my life, I was intrigued by the beautiful blue dragon set on the front cover, and was quick to begin reading the novel in anticipation for seeing it as a film.

As soon as I began, I was immediately captivated and spellbound by Paolini's work. Of fantasy literature, my only reading experiences so far had been that of J.R.R. Tolkien's works in "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings", of which I greatly loved. As I always did in my youth, I finished "Eragon" quickly, likely within a few days. As I finished, I was so excited to see the story continued, and even more so when I read an excerpt of the second novel in the Cycle, which was titled "Eldest". And so it wasn't long before my mother gifted me a hardcover copy of "Eldest", this book having a mysterious red dragon on its dust cover.

In this stream, I intend to cover the entirety of the Inheritance Cycle, including its subsequent works taking place within the World of Eragon. In release order, I will be writing about: Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance, followed by The Fork, The Witch, and the Worm, and Murtagh. If it pleases my readers, I will discuss each novel chapter by chapter, wherein I will summarize the events of the chapter, dive into the introductions and developments of the characters, begin to identify major themes and inspirations from classic works of literature present in the novels, and to express my opinions regarding everything.

I invite those who follow this stream to add their own thoughts and opinions on the notes I write, as well as reaching out to me directly if there are ideas or opinions that one feels strongly enough should be addressed and included. I cannot wait to share this amazing fantasy world with you all.

Thank you all, and sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!
