I I woke up around 7 and rolled out of bed still tired. I do my morning routine and get ready for school. As I get into my classroom I hear my English teacher talking to students about what they’re going to be for costume day. I hear clowns, ghosts, zombies, the classic costumes of Halloween. Then my friend Koby, a big weeb says he's going to be “no face” from spirited away… whatever that is. And I personally didn't want to be anything, maybe just a skeleton of some kind because I wasn't feeling the Halloween spirit at all. My friend Crystal was going to be Bloody Mary or something related to being a bridesmaid and I thought that's pretty cool because you never see staff or teachers wearing costumes because "it's a waste of time" according to them. But it hasn't always been this low , it only started when our old principal died in a car accident and back then the Halloween spirit and everyone dressed up. But our new principal was against Halloween but never cared about any other holiday and that's because she was a Christian. And so now it's boring when it comes to Halloween, there's one great thing about Halloween at this school. It’s the week full of godly food for lunch and for today we got mashed potatoes, macaroni salad and a burger and all I gotta say is that I've seen better last year. Did I mention, I went to school here for 10 years now because my parents will never leave this town, so moving was never a concern of mine and over those 10 years I made 2 best friends. Page 1

First one being Koby, he loves anime more than any person I know and it's hard to get him to not watch anime except for when he is in a classroom. And he has watched over 200 different anime. I was talking to him one day and he was telling me about how he's taking Japanese classes so he can soon speak and read in Japanese and to be completely honest he wasn't always like this he was more of a sports kinda guy, he loved his basketball and football, and was a player but one day when we were playing games I asked him if he ever watched anime but he didn't know what that was. So I showed him a couple episodes of Naruto and he went off into anime and since then a now die hard weeb. Now my second friend was a girl because girls are cool if you don't sexualize them and she is our gym teacher for our school and we have been friends for close to 6 years and she was 3 grades ahead of me and only started being our gym teacher this year. Some days I miss our old gym teacher but I don't mind my friend being our gym teacher. And on the plus side she's making a living doing what she loves most. And that's working out. And as you probably guessed she wasn't into working out 2 years ago till I invited her to go for a run with me to my House and she told me she loved the feeling running gave her and since then she's wanted the newer generation to feel such joy from working out in hopes it will guide them in their lifestyle choices. Page 2 

And so after school me and my friends love exploring abandoned places like houses, hospitals and really anything that hasn't been bothered in years. But today we explored this old house that looked like pure charcoal by how burnt the house was and every step made smoke come to my feet. It felt like something you would see in a horror movie. My friend Koby finds a teddy bear that seemed pretty Intact but of course it was charcoal black and left his hand fully coated in char. Besides that I just grabbed it from him and stuffed it into my bag and as we kept looking around the house, someone yells "who's all creeping around here" we all bolt out of the house and ran different directions, I fell and decided to hide under a bush, while I wasn't sure where my friends went running but we all made a deal or a promise of some kind to never all run In the same direction because of that one time we did and we all got caught and we're all grounded for a good month. After the incident we never got caught or grounded and over the years and yes I mean close to 5 years we have explored abandoned places and found artefacts or treasures in the houses, ranging from a teddy bear to weapons or if we got lucky, any type of jewellery. Because the way I like to see it is that every house or abandoned place has a story that makes it unique. A good example is this teddy bear and the person who tried to catch us. Maybe he was protecting his daughter's teddy bear or he was homeless, it can go on. Page 3

But I should probably head home considering that I was laying in the bush for an hour. I can feel all the thorns still poking me mainly in my legs. I walked home which was a fifteen minute walk. I get home and boom the door is locked and I see a note: I know you're out doing your thing so if you get back before us can u buy eggs and milk, I already put 20$ on your card so you can keep the change" I call my friends to see where they are and only Koby picks up and I ask him for a ride because his mom was able to buy him a car for his birthday. As I was waiting on my friend I decided to look and inspect the teddy bear. As I was inspecting the teddy bear like a detective on a homicide scene. My friend honks and brings me back to reality. I got in the backseat because Crystal was with him. He drove me to the store downtown. I bought my eggs and milk and bought myself a pop. As we were heading out to the vehicle this old lady called us "hey" "hey" "yeah you three" we all look at her and she talked in a low and slow voice but we were able to hear "would you three youngsters want to help me tomorrow with my decorations because I'm old and I'll pay good" we all agree and asked her for address and left and she was happy and smiling. I got dropped off and went to play my game and I kept thinking about how old that lady as and why such a fragile old lady was asking for help and plus how did she get to the store, does she have anyone watching her, I can go on and on but I'm just going to sleep it off. Oct 30th a day before halloween, it was a slow morning considering that it was Saturday and that most parents are candy or Halloween shopping but the thing that I generally looked forward too was the costume party at my friend's house because he always starts the party a day before halloween just so kids don't come knocking and their all drunk and faded .but then I get a call from Koby saying he's going to cancel the party till we're done helping the old lady. That's when I remembered something I didn't want to remember, which was the old lady. But I told him he's all good for doing that even though I was bummed out abit. I checked the time and it was 2:30pm so I got up and did my morning routine. I headed to my friends house, also my mom and dad are early birds so they're gone before I wake up. so as I'm about to leave my house crystal call me and I hear her voice but it's shaky and scared "my mom was just sent to the hospital like five minutes ago, try call Koby to pick us up he's not answering his phone" I quickly hang up and call Koby, I told him what she said and he pulled up almost instantly then we were flying to the next little town with the hospital about an hour away, we get there around 3:20 and she gets to see her mom and doctors are saying if she had been brought in a minute later she would have died. I guess she suffered from a minor heart attack in her sleep and almost died. One thing to note is that her mom goes for Morning runs and works out regularly . The doctor tells us that she had a heart problem growing up. Page 5

And we were there close to 3 hours before I checked the time. 6:30 so I quickly remind them of the old lady and crystal looks at her mom and kissed her forehead "I'll bring you back something special just stay strong" we go zooming back to our town and get back around 40 minutes, we got to the old lady's house around seven and it was getting dark outside. But I saw her shadow on her porch so she was already waiting for us. As we're getting out of the vehicle she says "oh you all came at just the right time I was just about to go to bed, the decorations are in the living room and if you don't mind please take your shoes off" we didn't complain and followed her into her living room and as we all entered her empty living room with only four comfy single couches she closed the living room door and told us to sit down. I got an uneasy feeling but we all sat down nervously and she sat down and began talking "I need you three to help me with something more personal that is the demons I have held onto for years now and I know I'm getting old but I want to do it in peace without them holding me down. And I died once and was denied access to heaven because these 3 demons were pulling me to hell where they are living right now. They want to drag me down because they weren't able to go to heaven because of the way they treated me growing up. Now my dad was an exception but because he abused me he's going to hell. And so I need your full help with this''. All three of us fall asleep because I guess that's what she planned, page 6

Warren- I wake up in a dark room and try find a way out, suddenly the old woman's voice came from a room in the distance and it was bright "as I grew up my mom would leave me alone at home and I was always home at night so all the dark spots In the house gave me the chills so I would turn everything on and my mom would come home and hit me if any lights were on so I started only staying in my room with my own light on'' i walked towards the room then a hand grabbed my left leg it had a hard solid grip but I realised I can still move forwards. Another one grabbed my right leg and i almost fell over but a light came from my pocket and I quickly grabbed it and it was my phone i turned the flashlight on and shined it around and seen faces and the walls all with wide eyes and a huge smile so i quickly turned my light forward and went sprinting to the right room and went flying into the bright room and found a note that says "get the three forgotten memories. Teddy bear, box of crayons and a flashlight can be found in the darkness. Then I remember seeing 3 different rooms while I was sprinting. I look back into the darkness and see two rooms. I quickly check for any light switch but none is found. so I get ready in a running position then take off sprinting trying my best to dodge the hands. I get to room one and burst in and see a bright teddy bear, the darkness slaps me all around my body. I still went running into room 2 as fast as I could and grabbed the crayons. Beside them were a message "the darkness only strives off fear and without it it's nothing" a powerful hand wraps around my neck and I get slammed and choked on the ground. Page 7

Kobe wakes up in a bed, gets up and explores the house when a hand slaps him on the head, he looks around and doesn't see anything or anyone, the old lady starts speaking "my dad died before I was born and as I grew up he got more abusive even though he was a spirit he was able to still hit me and I would cover up my cries because I didn't want my mom to ask why Im crying and to this day 78 years later he abuses me. Kobe keeps looking around the house for clues on how to beat him. He sees a paper on the fridge "her dad died in a car accident he takes a second to understand it's full meaning then he got slapped again and he was thinking on how that would help him then he seen a piece of a steering wheel in the next room he picked It up and got shoved to the ground and got slapped twice, he got up and ran around the house looking for the other 2 pieces then he seen the basement door and realised it was locked he thought for a moment and had an idea of looking for the attic, he ran upstairs looking for the attic but it was nowhere to be seen. He checks in the room he woke up in and looked for clues, lucky he found a outline on the wall and busted it open and seen the stairs leading to the attic and skipped 3 steps per step and seen the second piece and as soon as he grabbed it a dark hard punch came straight for his face but he dodged it as fast as they do in anime. And he went bolting down the stairs to the kitchen where the basenet was. He remembers he needed a key so he inspects the steering wheel piece and sees a key taped to the wheel so he takes the tap off and opens up the basement door when a hard force to his left knee breaks it and he goes rolling down the stairs. Crystal - wakes up in a room full of makeup and she sees tons of different makeup basically for everything on the tar in front of her then the old lady starts talking "my mom was a prostitute and would always wear makeup and I thought she was a clown to me because she would bring guys home and the men always hit me or shove me and I got bruises regularly". Crystal tries to leave the room but a man grabs her and throws her down. She quickly gets back up and sprints past him and hides in the bathroom and waits for him to pass the stairs. "Past" she lets out a faint scream and a voice says "there's only one way up out of here and that's the basement" the guy hears the scream and bursts into the bathroom . She puts all her power into a leg kick and breaks the guy's left leg and he goes down screaming. Crystal jumps over him and bolts to look for the basement, after a good minute of searching she finds the basement door but thankfully it's unlocked but there was no light downstairs so she tried to take her time but also rushing. She saw a full burst of light coming from the window. She got to the basement floor and she decided to sprint all the way to the window but she tripped over a weight and face planted on the floor rough but kept moving forward more slowly but still pushing. She pulled herself up to the window and just barely kpm ;made it outside before another man grabbed her leg and pulled her back to the floor. She got knocked out after hitting her head on the ground. Warran- I struggle in pain to get air because of the choke hold and felt for anything to grab and felt something metal at my last moments and stab the arm, the arm goes limp and let's me go, I wonder what I grabbed and seen It was a key, I immediately turn around and open the door and jump for the flashlight and immediately turn it on and shines it on the darkness with the faces and not scared of the shadows at all, he gets back to the room and puts all three items on the table and goes all dark.

Koby- wakes up on the basement floor and sees the last piece of the steering wheel so he starts crawling toward it. Buf as he gets closer something steps on and breaks his other leg he starts crying thinking he's lost all hope. He cries for a moment and has an idea to throw the two pieces to the third one. He gets his right hand ready then quickly throws it to his left hand, right hand getting slammed to the ground he throws it and his left hand also gets slammed and him and the demon watch the three pieces get perfectly connected and the demon looks at it goes in flames and koby wakes up and moves his arms and legs thankfully.

Crystal- she wakes up and a guy is on top of her so she quickly crunches inwards and puts all her force into her legs and kicks him hard in the gut and he goes flying so she quickly turns around and climbs up the wall and out the window. A hand grabs her leg but she's already halfway out the window and as she gets outside the fresh air hits her like it was gentle but evenly hot. The mom comes outside but her makeup starts melting off as she's trying to yell at her. So Crystal hugs her mom and says "you're not a clown, remember you're more beautiful when you're natural just remember your girl. Then crystal wakes up

After they all wake up the old lady looks at them, smiles and starts crying she says "I thank you youngers so much now that I can die at any moment without them holding me back from being with god in heaven, but I would also like to mention that you three weren't the first to help me and unfortunately they all died to the hands of my demons, but it only seems fair to give you all a reward.3 different costumes, bloody Mary costume with extreme details, a killer clown suit that's more scary than a regular clown and a ghost costume that's twice as dark and 3000 each and again thank you three so much for setting me free" as we all left the house we seen a group of three that have the same costumes as us. Suddenly they all disappeared in a blink of an eye. But those three were the ones who gave them tips on how to defeat every demon and they all died trying to defeat those demons and to this day nobody knows what happened to those three kids. Chapter 1.
