My First Note - People in the Military

Okay everyone, for my first note, I would like to get something off of my chest. Before I start, I'd like to let everyone know that I respect the hell out of anyone in the military. You guys are heroes and I don't mean any disrespect by writing this. Now with that being said, if we are having conversation and you tell me that you are in the military, the first thing I think of is you kicking bad guy ass. Seriously. I'm not kidding. I wish I was. I picture you kicking ass like Denzel Washington does in those Equalizer movies. Yes, you even time it. After you get done kicking ass, you drape an American flag over your shoulders as you head to your Humvee. A Bald Eagle then guides you back to your base as "House of the Rising Sun" plays on the radio. There, I said it. I can sleep now. Now, I understand that this does not happen the majority of the time. Like .000000000000001% of the time. But this is what runs through my head the first five seconds of you telling me that you are in the military. I then find out that you are a tech guy/gal and you hardly see any action. Or you are the person that assess the situation after the action. Either way, I think you are awesome and you deserve more respect. I don't care if you are shining shoes or in the field, you are a fucking hero in my book. Thank you for your service. :)
