Contextual Refractory in Sequel to Headshots: Gracefully Condescended
If "Headshots" was the attack, this entry is the post-production. It analyzes how the "Lens of Obscurism" is used to crop reality. It documents the refusal to be the "subject" of someone else's distorted portfolio, finding "refulgence" (brilliance) in the messy, unedited self.
Abject Grace
You love to zoom in on the flaws,
Find the smallest hairline crack.
This isn't art appreciation, it's petty laws,
Fierce examination as a digital attack.
Your lens of obscurism is an obscenity screen,
The aperture ignored, the context unseen.
The shutter's crass deceit decomposes the scene,
Your denial starkly cast, remarkably keen.
You refract the light and skew the view,
You dulled the refulgence, presented askew.
Kaleidoscopic beauty you misconstrue,
Pervasive umbrage in a shady, subdued hue.
Cut the context, crop the scene, skip clips with scratchy blips,
Vapid interlopers retract their petty quips.
Repulsive remarks on the tip of your lips,
Hubristic ignominy in gossipy slips.
Because I am not your subject,
I embrace my messy grace.
Abjectly seen as an object,
Veracity poised me to never efface.
