Growing up with ADHD made me different. Which was ironic, because all I ever wanted to be was normal. I remember sitting at the kitchen table and sobbing with every attempt to do my homework. I kept repeating “I just want to be normal.” Little did I know, being “abnormal” would end up leading me to one of the most important relationships in my life.
