"the gardener" is a poem that I wrote back in 2022. It mentions a man who takes care of his flower garden, and uses rhyme and metaphor to convey the lives of the flowers. The poem shows the gardener's life cycle as it comes to a close. This poem was actually the first poem I ever wrote, back in my sophomore year of high school. It is almost entirely the same as it was when I wrote it, with only a few minor adjustments. I hope you enjoy :)
