We live in a world where many secrets are hidden behind a door, that no one wants to open. As children, we create fortresses to hide in or clubhouses to play in. For me, my fortress was a bit different. I didn't enter it solely based on my own private playtime. I entered it each night, to hide from the screams and glass shattering against the wall.

Just to be clear, this story is not easy to read. It will contain triggering content that may not be suitable for younger ages. No explicit images will be shown, however most of you can visualize and I'm sure that's not much better. If you're reading this my gratitude and respect to go out to you. Stay beautiful. Stay you.
