This article examines the growing use of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) in therapy, where mental health professionals are leveraging its role-playing structure to help patients build social skills, resilience, and self-awareness. By allowing patients to explore new identities and navigate controlled challenges, D&D fosters empathy, community, and self-expression. Studies indicate that therapeutic role-playing can significantly improve confidence and coping strategies, making D&D an effective and innovative tool in mental health treatment.
