free note

One day I was scrolling on Pinterest when one pin caught my eye. It was a sponsored advertisement for Taylor Stanford's blog (TaylorStanford.com). I was interested because 1. I didn't even know what a blog was, and 2. The ad said in parenthesis "And now I make six figures." If I could tell you another time when my interest was caught so fast, I would, but this sparked my curiosity. I clicked on it and read the description, where she was offering a FREE 6-day course to walk you through the exact same steps she took to start and sustain her blog.

I signed up for that course, and the next day, whaddyaknow, I had an unread email waiting for me on Day 1 of the course. Now, nothing against her or her course, it was spectacular, but it involved MONEY. In the email, she sent links to the websites she used, but on the first link I clicked, it said something along the lines of, "Starting with monthly payments of..." I don't remember the price, but I DO remember seeing it and immediately being like, "Nope. Zilch. Nada." But it was too late, her emails and pins hooked my interest and I wanted to be a blogger.

I remember scouring the internet searching for things like, "Free blog site," and other ridiculous things until I came across Notd. Notd was completely free, no monthly payments or anything like that. The only thing they did (Which I'm still totally fine with) is take 10% of your earnings. I was entirely fine with that since it didn't require any money to start. You work for free and for fun. Using Notd is an easy, streamlined process that organizes all your blogs into a "stream." When people subscribe to your stream, they get access to all the blogs on that stream, my stream being "Industry Revels."

Now, while I'm hoping to get off Notd, I still don't have enough money. That's why, with this post, I hope to gain subscribers, enough to pay for a website that I can run on my own. Blogging is really fun and I DO love writing, but unless I pull a Taylor Stanford, and start making money, I'm stuck here on Notd. I will continue to post daily and hope to gain subscribers. I will continue to make pins and boards to get views. Resilience is all it takes. Heck, if you look up "Speed's streaming story" or something like that on YouTube, you will see he did exactly what I am doing; being resilient and enduring.

No, I don't write stories. No, I don't write poems. I write short articles about unknown things in life. That's what "Industry Revels" means. It's saying, "Here are some things from many aspects of business, economy, or life that people don't generally know. So I'm here writing, pouring my soul out to whoever views this, in hopes that I can make a couple bucks. This is me, signing off.

Hoped you like that short little bio thingy,
