Following the release of my written expression, Saudade, I wanted to somehow share the visual expression for the purgatory I concluded 'letter to David' with. I actually captured these photos sitting on my couch using my vape to create the smoke and the window in my front room for fun. I was proud of them initially after taking them. ('letter to David' was written expressly to David and wasn't intended to share) Now they are the way I can connect and create the world I'm trying to share with you of Sehnsucht-Saudade. Godspeed.

Performative Exhaustion: Feeling like life is a series of "posts" or "scenes." You do things because they look right or because they are expected, rather than because they bring you joy. The Fear of the "Unfiltered" Self: A deep-seated belief that if people saw the messy, unpolished version of your thoughts, they wouldn't like you. This often leads to heavy "masking." The Beginning
Madalyne Murray O’Hair was a famous agitator and founder of The American Atheists. She gained her following from her famous case in 1963 wherein she successfully had prayer removed from schools. Next, she filed suit against the pledge of allegiance to remove the words “under god”. I did quite a deep dive into her and just to spoil it for you, her life ended when three kidnappers brutally murdered her, her granddaughter, and her son in an attempt to collect $625,000 in offshore extorted currency. All that aside, at the end of my research into her I noticed something…not once did she ever lobby to have “In God We Trust” removed from U.S. currency. I suppose in the end anything is worth the fight until a whole lot of money is involved.
