The California Economic Development Corporation will begin accepting applications online for the $75 million We Are Small Business Grant program. The program, which will provide $2,500 grants to 30,000 small businesses, is designed to help small businesses get back on their feet amid the COVID-19 pandemic while also encouraging them to adopt best practices to keep employees, customers and communities safe.

California artists who have been financially burdened by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for a grant up to $2,000 through the California Arts and Culture COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. The deadline to apply is September 1. The California State Council on the Arts, California Arts and Culture Foundation, Shorewood Foundation, and Raymond Foundation have partnered to establish the relief grant program.
