Don't look back, you're not going that way

We all stop to watch the birds fly,
Have it makes us feel like we should compromise,
But the somber days like us driving otherwise.
We all stop when the ground shakes,
Have it make us feel like we should pump our brakes,
But the slithering suckers like us to act fake.
We'll make it around the universe and back
Let your body rest
At the speed you've been going
Going through the motions, you lack.
Relax,
Keep watching from a bird's eye view,
Anybody's past is worth moving towards at least one breakthrough.
And when the bird finally stops flying,
And finds itself standing on a slippery mountain,
Count then, how many more blessin's willing to peak in,
There's no gravy boat while you're up climbin'
Or a one-way train that wraps you around its climax.
Stop pacing on a mark to get set up and go,
If you look back one more time,
There's no guarantee what you will see is still there
Waiting.
