I got a new zoom lens but haven't had much time to try it out, except outside my house. Hawks fly around here, and each day one seems to fly lower. Today I got this shot (zoomed and cropped).

The giant phone manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, Google) spend a lot of money developing software for the cameras on their phones, such that they often get better photos than ones taken on more expensive cameras. You would think the camera manufacturers would catch on to this, but apparently not. Here are a couple photos taken minutes apart at the same location, one on a Sony Xperia phone and the other on a Sony a7r4 camera. See which one you think came out better.
