Written during coivd-19, where as New Yorker we were devoid of sharing the integral part of our personalities, by revealing our full facial expressions, including our smiles, since it was being blocked by our masks. Some pro-vaxers, who were very concerned and extreme of safe guarding themselves, doubled if not trippled their masks to cover their entire faces. Creating a huge civil debate in American society, of how far vaacination, masking, and social distancing was necessary in keeping everyone healthy and safe. I also wanted to comment on fake smiles, an insincere gestures, and all of us sometime being fooled, naïve, and worried if the person smiling at us is masking their true sentiments about us, or hiding something else they are going through. While the poor expectation to exude happiness the majority of the time, so others can feel comfortable in our presence, with all the array of emotions we display, where we are expected to only smile on camera, even if we are not feeling it.
