A fashion forward though employer backward comedy about an assistant to a fashion magazine editor and her efforts to placate and please her, The Devil Wears Prada is an effectively made comedy.
Thanks to great work from leads Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and great supporting work by Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci and a skillful job by director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh Mckenna, Lauren Weisberger's novel is adapted into a sharp but not scalding workplace comedy.
