Like many other middle aged women, these days just trying to make an honest living I doordash part time, because one job doesn't seem to cut it these days. My husband is a roofer and I'm an entrepreneur. More specifically an artist, writer, & retired cosmetologist. About 6 mths ago as I was about to get licensed as an insurance agent, I said screw it. I'm chasing my dreams! Some days it feels like I'm chasing my nightmares instead. It's been hard, but if I remember correctly as a little girl I said, I just want to walk where Jesus walked. I meant Jerusalem, but hey I didn't clarify I guess....

They called me deep like it's a bad thing. Doesn't that make them shallow. Anyone can swim on the surface, heck you can doggy paddle or do a back float. It's more comfortable I'll give you that. The thing is nobody grows in comfort, you gotta dive in, go deep. That's where the treasure is. I almost died so many times before I ever really had a chance to live. Covid almost did me in, 3 months consistently getting worse each day. My husband couldn't wake me up for 3 days. It turned into pneumonia and I got so bad I woke him up near the end of those 3 months and told him to take me to the ER, I couldn’t do it anymore. We both had this eerie gut feeling if I went to the hospital I wouldn't be leaving there alive. He refused to take me, he told me to fight one more day. The next day I got a call that a old family friend passed away. She was my age & had a daughter too, I cried wondering how I deserved to live more than her. I heard my husband & daughter laughing and imagined them w/o me

As I wrote the title - A heart chang3- I accidentally hit the 3 instead of e. Easy mistake only I've been learning that not all mistakes really are that. Sometimes, they're an opportunity for change that would've remained unseen if it weren't for that supposed mistake. It's about changing our perspective; the way we view everything in our lives, and finding the beauty where we thought it could never lie. You see, most of us have believed lies our whole life's, making them our own personal truth the whole time. Have you ever wondered how so many people we deem as honest can believe what we see as a lie. Take politics and religion. Those are just 2 prime examples of what I'm trying to describe.
