Solar Vendetta — Synopsis In the scorched frontier of Heliotrope Ridge, a solar‑powered boomtown shimmering under a blistering future sun, a stranger arrives: Butch Alpine, the infamous contract killer whose reputation travels faster than the dust storms at his back. He’s hunting one man — Thomas Sigma — the engineer‑turned‑opportunist blamed for letting the water reserves of their previous compound evaporate into nothing. Thomas’s six henchmen tried bartering the last remaining water for gold, failed spectacularly, and scattered. Butch has been tracking them, collecting their gold piece by piece like grim trophies. But Heliotrope Ridge holds a complication Butch didn’t expect: Nephelia Chochoe — solar mechanic, desert mystic, and the only person who ever knew Butch before he became a ghost with a gun. Nephelia is in love with Thomas Sigma. And she knows exactly what Butch is capable of... O.A.

The Sanctimonious Path to Enlightenment Two middle‑aged Jamaican‑Canadian cousins, Oliver and Marlon, reach a breaking point when they witness the quiet neglect consuming their mothers inside two overcrowded, underfunded care facilities. Fueled by love, guilt, and a wildly inflated sense of spiritual purpose, they stage a chaotic midnight “liberation,” smuggling Mama Inez and Auntie Della out of their respective nursing homes and onto the Sunshine Coast Highway. What begins as a righteous mission quickly unravels into a satirical odyssey. As the four travel north in a battered teal minivan, the sons congratulate themselves on their moral bravery while their mothers—sharp‑tongued, unimpressed, and wiser than both men combined—remind them that enlightenment is not earned through speeches, but through humility. Along the journey, flashbacks to Kingston childhoods, mango trees, church hats, and hard‑won lessons reveal the deep cultural roots... O.A

The first truth I have to admit is this: being a writer in this era feels like standing on a cliff edge while the ground keeps eroding under your feet. The world moves at a velocity that mocks reflection. Technology accelerates everything—communication, outrage, forgetting—until the human voice risks becoming background noise in its own century. And yet, paradoxically, this is exactly why the theater remains one of the last sanctuaries where a writer can still slow time, still insist on breath, still demand that an audience sit in the dark and listen. These four new stage plays—bound together under the title Drama For High Society—are my attempt to carve out that sanctuary. They are not polite plays. They are not designed for a world that scrolls. They are built for the stage, where the spoken word still has the audacity to matter.

Why Indigenous Superheroes — and All Minority Voices — Belong at the Heart of the Black Nebula Universe The Black Nebula Universe was never meant to be a mirror of the world as it is. It was conceived as a mythic space where the stories that were silenced, ignored, or erased in our reality can finally take their rightful place at the center of the narrative. In a genre historically dominated by a narrow set of perspectives, the inclusion of Indigenous superheroes and other minority voices is not an act of tokenism — it is an act of restoration. It is a reclamation of myth, power, and cultural imagination.

Black superheroes matter because they expand the mythic landscape, giving Black audiences the power, visibility, and cultural centrality they’ve long been denied, while reshaping how society imagines heroism itself. In this moment—when people crave authenticity, new mythologies, and stories rooted in lived truth—Black Nebula Comics stands out as a visionary force, building cosmic narratives where Blackness is not peripheral but foundational. By offering emotionally rich heroes, sovereign storytelling, and a universe unbound by old limitations, Black Nebula becomes more than a publisher; it becomes a cultural engine crafting the futures, symbols, and mythic architecture this era urgently needs... When Oliver Allen’s top five musical legends—Biggie, Tupac, Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, and Portia White—mysteriously rise from the vinyl crates in his bedroom, Vancouver’s nights transform into a living mixtape of battles, wisdom, and wild adventures. Together, the Audio Platoon rides through the city in Oliver’s Mustang, freestyling, giving him relationship advice, grabbing midnight snacks, and facing rival crews across the Skytrain lines. As they clash with the Kings of East Vancity and reshape the city’s musical underworld, Oliver discovers that legacy, love, and courage all share the same beat. By dawn, the Platoon returns to the crates—but the rhythm they leave behind changes everything
