In all the romance movies and books, even the sad endings are heavily romanticized. Titanic. Beautiful, sappy love story? Yes. However, the scene close to the end, after the ship has gone down and they’re floating in the freezing water, there is a rather odd conclusion. Rose wakes up to find Jack dead. She says her teary goodbye, and lets him go. He sinks to his watery grave. Minutes later, she’s dodging frozen floating bodies to get to a lifeboat that came back for survivors. Logically though, his sinky-ness must have been why they couldn’t both have floated on the door.
