The article's greatest strength is its message: that both neuroscience and faith point toward the healing power of connection. The idea that social exclusion affects the brain while authentic community helps regulate the nervous system is compelling, especially when told through the lens of disability and church life. That perspective is unique and important.

In this poem I write about what the meaning of singleness gifted by God truly means, and the opportunity it gives us. I pray that if anyone reads this that is struggling with the gift of singleness that you can truly see what God has blessed you and myself with.

This series of poems chronicles the transition from self-sacrifice to sacred self-preservation. It confronts the "mental oppression" of a religious upbringing that labels natural desire as unholy and depression as a lack of faith. Rejecting the "wolves in Borsalino hats" who prioritize status and patriarchal rigidity, the work embraces a "Pink Rabbah" identity—one that is queer, secular, and unapologetically human. By navigating the middle ground between denial and belief, the writing finds healing in the realization that mortality is the ultimate equalizer, urging a future where everyone is seen in the image of goodness rather than the slurs of their peers.

This series of poems explores the intersection of trauma, agnosticism, and secular humanism, dissecting the "marketplace of the divine." It challenges the gatekeeping of organized religion—where memberships carry price tags and "holy" spaces are marred by queerphobia, misogyny, and patriarchal greed. Rejecting the violent polarization of 3,000 years of religious conflict, the work finds true sanctity in nature, art, and radical empathy. It is a call for a spiritual revolution: a movement to rehumanize the demonized, dismantle abusive structures, and reach a state of peace where the authentic, queer self is finally valued as sacred and equal.

I'm holding space for my own divinity this week. As we move into April, a certain set of beliefs encroaches on our society. Easter is not my religious holiday. I use my own spirituality and synchronize it with the moon cycle and recall the magic of Spring from the month of March.

The heart is searching for something. We mistake it for love. What we seek internally is purpose. Who am I? Has long been the question that every person has ever sought an answer for. Even children want to know who they are. You are actively asking, seeking who am I because it's natural to want to know.

In Ephesians 6:11, the Apostle Paul urges believers to put on the whole armour of God to stand against the wiles of the devil. This call to spiritual warfare is not to be taken lightly, as the enemy's schemes are cunning and relentless. True readiness to stand firm requires a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not just religious rituals. Let's delve deeper into what it means to stand firm in the face of spiritual battles.

You kneel, whisper sins you'll repeat by sunset, and call it confession—but God heard the lie before your lips moved, so tell me: is the confession for His forgiveness, or just your subscription to sin without the guilt?

This reflection explores breath as a sacred marker of belonging, weaving lived experience and Angela N. Parker’s book “If God Still Breathes, Why Can’t I?” It names how many women live with “stifled breath” and unvoiced questions in spiritual spaces that constrict the lung of our souls rather than expanding them. This essay also introduces Womanist Theology, a tradition rooted in the real lives of Black women. Readers are invited to notice where their own breath feels tight or free and imagine Parker’s “redemptive self-love” in a grounded acceptance that honors one’s story as holy.

In the struggle between the physical and the spiritual, we often mistake our own endurance for our own strength. These two pieces explore the same battle from two different lenses: the prophetic 'big picture' and the raw, first-person testimony of standing under divine protection.

Finality of Death Rather Than Conscious Afterlife Experience In preexilic Israel, there was no conception of a future resurrection; death was considered final and people were cut off from the living and from God. According to Psalms 6:5, people in Sheol remember nothing—not even God. This contrasts sharply with New Testament teachings about conscious existence after death, active torment in hell, or reward in heaven. For the Hebrews, returning to dust meant the end of conscious existence.

The Parable of the Stepfather I was talking to my son’s stepfather. We get along fine; there is no enmity or bitterness between us. There is a bit of tension, though. It’s not the tension one normally associates with the ex’s new guy vs. the old guy. It’s religion. Now, we aren’t talking about some fundamentalist extremist here. The guy has a pretty mild version of religion, and it doesn’t come up often. Yeah, that’s enough to cause some tension. I think people often don’t realize how influential religion can be in someone’s life.
